Margaret Heaton, MFT

Margaret is a Nevada alumnus through and through. She pursued her Bachelor’s degree in psychology, her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, and continued on to complete her Doctoral Studies in Counselor Education and Supervision, all at the University of Nevada. Margaret gained experience treating chronic pain patients from working at a private practice and STEP 2 internship before joining our team.

In between her educational pursuits and internships she has taught Psychology and Sociology classes at a rural community college and most recently she had been working with the Washoe County School District to provide additional services and support to high school students.

She looks forward to joining the Nevada Advanced Pain Specialists team, developing relationships with our patients and sharing another perspective to assist Nevada Advance Pain Specialists to help address patients’ struggles with pain.

In her time away from the office, Margaret enjoys running and spending time with her husband and new daughter.
