Dr. Jenson is a specialist in the breadth of pain conditions including acute pain and chronic pain disorders. He utilizes cutting-edge techniques by staying up to date in all available research in the field of pain medicine. His philosophy of patient care is to treat patients using the biopsychosocial model. Dr. Jenson uses multimodal therapy including interventional procedures, medical management, and physical therapy to best treat each individual patient’s pain.
Dr. Jenson received his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin - Madison with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He went on to receive his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin.
Thereafter, he completed an ACGME accredited Anesthesiology residency at the University of Kentucky. He received a number of awards and recognition for outstanding performance throughout his residency.
After residency, Dr. Jenson completed an ACGME accredited Pain Medicine fellowship at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. During fellowship he trained under world-renowned interventional pain expert, Dr. Salim Hayek, MD PhD.
Upon completion of his medical training, Dr. Jenson moved to Reno, Nevada to join the team at Nevada Advanced Pain Specialists. He chose to move to the Reno area because of his love for the outdoors. He enjoys hiking, camping, skiing, and whitewater kayaking.
